Our history
1935
Mr. Joaquin Alberto Nogueras begins manufacturing and repairing oak barrels to store chemical products, wines and alcohol.
1939
Mr. Joaquim Alberto Nogueras decides to stop manufacturing oak barrels and sets up a private company in the Poble Nou district of Barcelona to make drums from sheet metal with stapled wooden hoops and drums made of cardboard.
1967
he company invests in new machinery to produce Kraft fibre drums with metal hoops and clamps, with Tablex tops and bottoms, for chemical and pharmaceutical companies. The company becomes the leader in Spain in this sector.
1975
The company moves to 1,000 m2 facilities in Barbera del Vallès (Barcelona), used for production and storage.
1980
The firm becomes a public limited company.
1981
Investment is made in machinery to replace the Tablex bottoms with cardboard bottoms.
1982
The company obtains its first UN approval certificates for transporting hazardous materials.
1996
An investment partner comes into the company, allowing the production line to be automated.
1998
The automatic tube machine is purchased and the automation of the drum production line is begun.
2007
The company Envases Condal SL (a competitor) is purchased and a second production line is incorporated.
2009
An agreement is reached with Envases Caldes (a competitor) to continue its commercial activity when its owners have retired.
2017
An agreement is reached with Envases M3, SL (competitor) to continue its economic activity.
